The Penny finish is inspired by the rich patina of aged copper. Layers of warm bronze, rose, green, and iridescent tones emerge through the ceramic surface, while visible brushwork and delicate crackling reveal the artist's hand. The finish evolves with shifting light, recalling the quiet patina of a well-worn penny, weathered by years of circulation, where time becomes part of the material itself.

Developed through glazing and firing processes unique to the studio, the surfaces evolve through reflection, texture, and material transformation—balancing restraint with the tactile qualities of the ceramic form. Created as a singular work, this finish will not be reproduced.
